  • Syntype(s): 2 males, 1 female, Mt Sassafras, Shoalhaven District, NSW, date and collector unknown, AM [-35.1000 150.2000 ±5 km]
  • Note: The types situation is confused, but the type material was almost certainly collected by R. Etheridge and party in August 1889 (Etheridge 1890). Brölemann (1913: 97) said he examined only 3 specimens (2 males and 1 female), and he designated one of the males as 'type' (1913: 95). AM holds KS.76491, which has a single label reading 'Topotypes, 2m, 3f, 1 immat., Sassafras Aug 1889, det. P.M. Johns Aug 1966' (G. Milledge, .pers. comm.). Rowe and Sierwald (2006: 544) list this sample under 'Other material examined', giving the locality as Mt Sassafras, and list as 'Topotype' a single male in sample KS.92919, said to be collected at Sassafras in August 1889, and determined by P.M. Johns. It is not clear how either of these samples relates to the 3 specimens examined by Brölemann.
