  • Syntype(s): At least 1 male, Gippsland, Vic, date unknown, J. Mauritzon, repository unknown ["Gippsland" is almost certainly an error; H. clavigera was found at Hazelbrook, NSW in 2013 and Mauritzon collected in the Blue Mountains in 1936.]
  • Note: Two males examined by Jeekel (1984: 24) are in AMNH (A 5763, 4595(b)) and are from "Australia". They were probably collected by Charles Barrett.
